No lie. When I left for BlogHer ’10 last Thursday morning, I was 199.6 lbs. When I weighed myself Monday morning, I was 204.4 lbs. What the fucking fuck? How does a gastric bypass patient gain five pounds in four days? It wasn’t like I ate a lot. Quite the contrary — I didn’t have enough time to eat as well as I should have been.
I’m thinking it was just water retention, because as of this morning I’m back down to 201.6. I’m looking forward to getting back to ONEderland, and since I’ve been back on track with vitamins, protein, and water consumption, I should be there within a few days!

its water weight! i go up 4 lbs over night sometimes D: i read up on it cause it was weird to me to gain that much in one day and it turns out that its all water weight.
I’ve had that happen to me a few times as well, only to drop the weight gained plus a few extra pounds within the next week. I always thought weight loss/gain was weird before my surgery, but nothing beats the crazy journey of gastric bypass.
I gained 8! I know that I did not eat 25000 extra calories but it was stomach kicking anyways.
