Like Lisa said, it could be vanity sizing at other places, but I was wondering if you normally buy Junior's clothes at the other places. If you don't, then it's because Junior's Plus is traditionally 1-2 sizes smaller than Women's clothing. I learned that when I bought some shirts from Alloy. I was wearing a 1-2X and had to order a 3X to fit their clothes. When I looked at the bust/waist sizes, I noticed that they were what is traditionally smaller sizes from everyone from Wal-Mart, Target, Women Within, Lane Bryant, etc.

Actually, DEB is probably correct, traditionally - most places use "vanity sizing" now, so what used to be a 16 is now a 12.
