Hello there. My name is Jenn (you may know me from my personal blog, Jenn.nu), and on November 18th, 2009, I had gastric bypass surgery. At my heaviest, I was 331 lbs. On the day of my surgery, I was 286 lbs. This blog has chronicled my journey from when I first made the decision to have weight loss surgery -- back in 2008 -- to when I had it -- 2009 -- and how my weight and life have changed since then.

My rings keep spinning around my fingers. It's annoying! 1 week ago
I’m glad I’ll be busy with a lot of things tonight and tomorrow, because otherwise I would be driving myself nuts until it’s time to go to sleep tomorrow night.
WoooooHoooo! I’m so happy about your upcoming appointment..I plan on taking notes too during my orientation next monday.
I will admit the waiting is killing me. I don’t know if insurance will pay for the procedure and my cost next Monday will be over 300 dollars…Sigh… But what to do?
Hi Sherri! I was quite happy to go yesterday morning, even though it meant getting up very early.
Anyway, the seminar was great! Luckily, the seminar was free to attend. I will have to pay $46-$93 (what an estimate!) per group session, which I have to attend once a month for six months, unless my insurance covers it.
I’ll try to update with a blog post later tonight.
