One more day!

I’m glad I’ll be busy with a lot of things tonight and tomorrow, because otherwise I would be driving myself nuts until it’s time to go to sleep tomorrow night.

Only two more days to get through!

The surgical weight loss center called me today to confirm my Tuesday morning seminar class. I assured the girl on the phone that I’d be there.
I plan on buying a notebook to bring with me. I definitely want to take notes!

Oops!

My apologies for the lack of any real content-stocked posts for this past week. Easter and family related things have kept me relatively busy, but more than that I have been throwing myself into other projects as a way to distract myself from the anticipation of next Tuesday.
Next Tuesday being the hour and a half [...]

Splurging

This weekend I splurged on steak, dumplings, a roast beef sandwich, chocolate and pizza.
Since I probably won’t be able to have any of the above after the lap band surgery, I’m going to get it and enjoy it* while the getting’s good!
*Within reason, of course. I won’t gorge on anything, and will do my best [...]

It’s me again

Hi! It’s been a few days, but I haven’t dropped off the planet or anything so catastrophic. I have just been busy, taking care of this and that, and then preparing for Easter. Happy Easter everyone!
I’m excited now that my info session is just one week away. The night before April 1st will [...]

One little word

When, not if.
As in: When I have my lap band surgery, rather than If I have my lap band surgery.
*dances*
I joined two lap band message forums tonight. I plan on soaking up as much information as possible.
My husband has informed me that while he is very supportive, he worries about the look of the loose [...]

You should see the smile on my face

The following gastric restrictive procedures: gastric bypass using a
short Roux-en-Y anastomosis (less than 150 cm), vertical banded
gastroplasty, gastric stapling, or adjustable lap banded gastroplasty
may be considered medically necessary and appropriate for treatment of
morbid obesity.
Your policy does [...]

Boldly going nowhere

309.2 lbs. I’m certainly going nowhere fast.
I’m tired today. I was up until almost 5am, sucking up as much information on lap band and my health insurance covering it as I could find. I suppose I should call the insurance company and get an updated quote/estimate/coverage information.
I hate the uncertainty. Hate it, hate it, hate [...]

In the know

So far two people know of my decision to have lap band surgery: my husband and my mother. My husband is very supportive, and dutifully listens to me babble on about the surgery and procedures and such as a way of releasing my anxiety and excitement. My mother criticized me for choosing something “so drastic”, [...]
